Lorena I. Kcomt is an associate attorney with Alvarez, Thompson & Smoak, P.A., where her practice focuses on litigation.
Ms. Kcomt earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of West Florida and her Master of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. During law school, she served as President of the Federal Bar Association and as Managing Editor of the Immigration and Human Rights Law Review.
Before joining Alvarez, Thompson & Smoak, P.A., Ms. Kcomt served as an Assistant Public Defender in Florida's Ninth Judicial Circuit, where she represented hundreds of clients in criminal proceedings. This experience provided her with valuable courtroom advocacy skills and insight into complex litigation matters.
Originally from Venezuela and raised in Central Florida, Ms. Kcomt brings a diverse perspective to her practice and is dedicated to achieving favorable outcomes for her clients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her partner and two dogs.
