Zachry J. Leverton is an associate with Alvarez, Thompson & Smoak, P.A. He has focused his practice on complex civil litigation cases, involving personal injury, wrongful death and general insurance defense, with a focus on commercial transportation defense and commercial premises litigation.
Zachry received his Bachelor of Science degree from McMurry University in Abilene Texas in 2013. Thereafter he received his Juris Doctorate from Barry University in 2021. While in law school, Mr. Leverton served two summers as an intern to the Public Defender's Office and was an EMT with the Ocean Rescue Unit of the Brevard County Fire Department during the pandemic.
Before joining Alvarez, Thompson & Smoak, P.A., Zachry worked for the Office of the Public Defender in Brevard County. During His four years working as an Assistant Public Defender, he gained valuable knowledge and insight in trial strategy, preparation, and performance. Zachry has brought the insight he garnered over to the civil side to aggressively defend our clients.
Zachry is originally from Abilene, Texas where he gained experience in multiple industries. Before practicing, he was a certified Lifeguard, Lifeguard Instructor, Swim Instructor, EMT, Private Pilot, Full-time Missionary (Spanish) for 2 years, and a member of the National Math Honor Society Kappa Mu Epsilon. He has resided in Florida since 2017. When he is not working, he enjoys working with his hands and spending time with his four boys.
