
Ricardo “Ricky” E. De Lucca is an associate with Alvarez, Thompson, & Smoak, P.A. in their Tampa office. His practice is focused on complex civil litigation cases, involving personal injury, wrongful death and general insurance defense, with a focus on commercial transportation defense and commercial premises litigation.
Ricky received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from the University of Florida. Thereafter he received his Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson University College of Law. While at Stetson, he also received a Certificate from the Leadership Development Program.
Before practicing, Ricky was a law clerk at a highly regarded local personal injury firm. Upon graduation from law school, Ricky was an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County where he prosecuted a wide variety of felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases, which included attempted homicide, drug trafficking, armed robbery, and other serious crimes against people and property. Prior to joining Alvarez, Thompson & Smoak, P.A., Ricky was an Associate Attorney at a statewide insurance defense firm, where he was part of the Litigation Group focusing his practice on general liability defense, with an emphasis on premises liability, automobile, and complex personal injury matters.
Ricky was born in New York and raised in Tampa, attending the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at King High School. When he is not working, he enjoys relaxing at the beach, playing sports, and attending concerts.
